Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and Public Speaking
Students develop their thinking, communication, and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have opportunities to compete in local, regional, and state events.
Creative and Performing Arts
Our drama, music, and art programs help students develop creativity and express themselves. They can participate in concerts, art shows, and drama activities.
Cultural Activities
Cultural activities include partnerships with the Koori Room at Swansea High School and Ngaarr Dhuwi Girls Academy. These programs, featuring didgeridoo, dance, and art, have been key in supporting Aboriginal students and creating meaningful, lasting learning experiences.
Sport Activities
Our students enjoy a wide variety of sports day experiences that go beyond traditional activities. These include our exciting athletics carnivals. Students also participate in outdoor challenges such as walking to the beach, which promote physical health, teamwork, helping them build friendships and a lifelong love of active living.
Incursions
Incursions are engaging educational activities brought directly to our school, providing students with hands-on learning experiences. Our Drum Corps incursion offers an exciting opportunity for students to explore rhythm and teamwork through dynamic drumming workshops.
Excursions
Our students love stepping outside the classroom to explore, discover, and embrace new challenges. These enriching experiences foster personal growth, boost confidence, and deepen their understanding of how learning connects to the wider world.
Environmental Activities
Stage 1 students learn about growing food by planting a vegetable garden at school. As they move to Stage 3, students take part in Junior Landcare projects, helping care for the environment and their community.
PE Days
Gala days for netball, touch footy, soccer and Swim School offer students fun and active ways to develop teamwork, movement skills, and respect for others.
